5 Top Places to See Street Art in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a treasure trove for people who love street art. Whether you want to be inspired, to admire, or to share a photo of great street art on social media, Los Angeles has plenty of street art pockets which need to be seen.

So where should visitors to the city (and locals as well!) go to see the best the LA urban landscape has to offer? Just a few include:

1 / RETNA, Kenny Scharf and Shepard Fairey all worked on the installations at West Hollywood Library, at 625 N. San Vicente Blvd, West Hollywood. The multi-storey murals feature an elephant, a dove of peace, calligraphy, and cartoonish characters.

2/ Head over to the Art Share Building in the DTLA Arts District for the mural by Insa. This is currently the largest mural in LA, and is situated at the corner of Hewitt and 4th Streets, Downtown Los Angeles. The mural covers a whopping 9,300 sq ft.

3/ Go to Majestic Flowers at 800 North Fairfax Ave, Fairfax, to enjoy Bumblebee’s “Just in Case”. This LA street artist is unique and renowned for charming and instantly recognizable work that incorporates versions of bee motifs into every piece.

4/ At the LGBT Youth Centre and Annex (1220 N. Highland Ave, Hollywood), check out the mural by Eduardo Kobra. At 4,300 sq ft, it’s a burst of color in the urban landscape. This Brazilian artist’s work is bright and bold like a kaleidoscope and brings human faces to life in a photorealistic way.

5/ Venice Beach is famous for its murals along the boardwalk. There’s no better way to enjoy sunny Los Angeles than by the beach and surrounded by unique art installations. There’s a self-guided street art tour, and attractions include the Venice sign, the Venice graffiti walls, Beyond Baroque Poetry Walls, and the murals.
